L1-Create,Define Activities and WBS from Bill of Quantities BOQ

This is lesson no.1 : create, define activity list and wbs from bill of quantities boq of the free course How to make a time schedule step by step :

In this lesson we will know how to create an activity list and develop our work breakdown structure wbs, This is the first step to create a time schedule, so you as a planning engineer have the project drawings and the bill of quantities BOQ, and every one on the project looking at you waiting for the time schedule.

Do it smart: i believe that if you think 10 minutes on something before you do, it will save hours of work and rework. Therefore while we are doing the activity list and digging through the bill of quantities we will create our work breakdown structure wbs and cost loading (cost loading will help us to create the project cash flow and manpower histograms later on).

Do it professional: most of the planning engineers ( i was on of them) create the time schedule from general information about the project or from the drawings only, I believe that the most important document to create a time schedule is the bill of quantities B.O.Q along with the project drawings to know and understand the contents of the project.

See this video and try to do the same steps by your self, do not depend on watching only when you will try to do it your self you will find that some steps needs more attention from your side to understand.
