Claims Management, Extension of Time (EOT) and Delays Analysis.

Why Claims Management, Extension of Time (EOT) and Delays Analysis?

There are considerable numbers of construction projects, which are falling behind the schedule. Accordingly, you would defiantly face such situation in your work where you should develop a claim and delay analysis. Therefore, you should be prepared to this challenge with the required knowledge and skills to prove your talents in such situations.

To be honest with you, I was looking a while a go for a similar course to myself. I did a lot of research, but unfortunately all what I found were theoretical courses that do not tell me how to do a real claim in the construction industry. Later on, I had to prepare a complete claim for a mega project in Saudi Arabia, few years later I had to develop another complete claim which was more complicated and involved lot of international different parties. Finally, this year I have completed my MSc degree from Liverpool university (UK) in construction project management and my dissertation subject was about construction projects delays. Accordingly, I found myself having the practical experience of creating 2 claims for construction projects, did lot of research in my dissertation which made me expert in finding causes of delays (this helps a lot in the delay analysis), and I love the teaching using my own way, simple….effective….practical. So, I have decided to establish this training as follows.

There are the main 6 steps for Claims Management and Delays analysis. Each task would be a challenge for you, like a riddle you need to resolve; once you resolved it, you should be able to defend it. Claim Management is a game for smart people only. You should be Smart, Fast, Confident, and Convincing. Do not expect your client to give you an Extension Of Time (EOT) that easy. You need to be a real warrior here.

    Very useful course

Thank you for this training. I specially like the setup of the course which is conceived as a 'Workshop'. This obligates students to participate and complete assignments. The exercises are well worked out and very suitable as an example. The whole approach to the EOT management is practical and based on Hany's personal experiences and I will most certainly use many elements from the course in future professional assignments.

    Good One....Need more

Dear Hani, It was a nice course and very helpful especially for bigners... I request for advanced courses on Claims or a Project work / workshop of a Large scale Project (Live) with multiple events with "Windows analysis" and how does it finally settled .......etc etc .

Thanks you very much for this workshop

Most of the professionals in industry are reluctant to share their core experience but during workshop we were flooded with the knowledge that came mainly through experience. This is something special in this workshop. Through this workshop we also have learned how to prepare & manage our documents, it seems a minor job to read but literally it is the most difficult job during Claim/EOT preparation. As a planning engineer, I got to know “What is the meaning of a strong schedule” that should be prepared for any EOT/Claim. EOT & Claims Management is the area which is totally an experience base, I suppose & after participating I feel more confident as a planner now.
